We Say IT Magazine   [January 2009] We Say IT Magazine reviews Tarma Installer 5: "What’s left to say is that Tarma Installer is a professional's choice when it comes to creating self-extracting or plain file installers of any type. For the [price] per developer license, I would have to say that it is a small price to pay considering that you get to benefit from such a wide variety of options that turn your product into a professional tool."
Softpedia 5 Stars
[October 2008] Tarma Installer 5 receives a 5 star excellent review from the editor of premier software download site Softpedia. Reviewer Adrian Arsene comments: "Not a lot of installer packers give you a full control over that many file aspects, not to mention the full customization of the pop-up windows. After carefully going through each set of configuration options, you will be able to create a fast and optimal software installer for any product. Tarma Installer is a must have for experienced software developers who need to deliver their products in a professional and secure way."
3d2f.com editors reviewed Tarma QuickInstall: Simple Way to Assembling Setup Files. "Tarma QuickInstall offers a way to assemble software setup files quickly and hassle-free. If all you need is to create a setup file quickly, and the installation isn’t going to involve things more complex than creating folders, copying and configuring files, placing shortcuts, registering the application’s components in the system, and setting up a removal routine — that’s a worthy reason to check out this installer builder."
SIA Winner 2006
Tarma ExpertInstall won the 2006 Shareware Industry Awards in the category Best Vertical Market Program or Utility.
Promaxum Seal of Quality Review
Scott Swedorski, founder of Tucows, reviewed Tarma ExpertInstall for the Promaxum Seal of Quality. His verdict: "I used Innosetup for a while but this is much more robust and easier to use. A lot of detail was put into this application and I am sure will be extremely popular. I put the application through the wringer quite a few times and had some people at CoffeeCup Software put it to use and I quote from the programmer there "This is amazing"."
Mike Gunderloy reviewed Tarma ExpertInstall for Larkware News. "Using TEI is pretty simple. The various editors are well-designed and you'll seldom need to refer to the help file if you're familiar with the basic principles of writing an installer. When you're done writing the setup, you can go through a Build/Test/Fix cycle until it's perfect. One of the best aspects of TEI turns up here: it makes hundreds of "preflight" checks to make sure that you haven't unwittingly violated one of the rules about how installers should be constructed to be good Windows citizens. Using TEI should make it much harder to ship a broken installer than it is with some other products in the field."
Aaron Weiner reviewed Tarma ExpertInstall for Shareware Promotions. "I really like Tarma. I myself have used many different types of installation builders, including PWD, Inno, Microsoft Visual Studio Installer and InstallShield. This is by far the most powerful and well laid out installation builder that I have seen."
